Well, we all know restauranteur Danny Meyer knows what he’s doing. His success with several, four-star restaurants as well as the beloved hamburger joint, Shake Shack located in parks, Citi Field and soon to be Grand Central Station are always spot on. Untitled goes beyond the expectations for a museum cafe. Although the look isn’t new, it feels contemporary -baked goods line the bar and specials are written in chalk behind it. The crowd ranges from old Upper East Siders looking for a casual, hearty breakfast to museum go-ers of all ages. Ingredients are locally-sourced and you’ll be impressed by the homemade marmalade they serve to each table at breakfast. Service is efficient and fast. Don’t be fooled by the paper menus and affordable prices…this place has it all figured out and tastes expensive!
*Make a Sunday morning of it and knock out the museum and restaurant in one visit. Oh, and let me know how the chocolate fudge brownie they sell from Brooklyn bakery, Scratchbread is!
