Luke’s Lobster


BEST. Lobster Roll. in NYC. Hands-Down. Don’t waste your time ordering lobster rolls at the pricy, fancy seafood restaurants. A cute Maine-er named Luke opened this seafood shack and saved the lives of all lobster lovers in the city. The GENEROUS portioned, non-drenched mayo rolls have a sprinkle of lemon butter and a dash of spices. It’s all you could ask for in a lobster roll and wins the way to my heart. Plus every visitor I’ve shared this gem with, still dreams of these rolls and some have made a point to go twice in one weekend. Makes going all the way to Boston/Maine for lobster over-rated and plain unnecessary (unless you are going to Neptune Oyster in Boston). It’s kind of like a fast-casual Lobster Roll place because you order at the counter and then you’ll be called when it’s ready. The East Village location is very tiny so if you are looking for a place to sit down and have a long dinner with someone, this wouldn’t be the best spot. It’s more of a stop ‘n go spot or a great place to go solo.
