The Vinatta Project which just opened in the old Florent space is the exact type of restaurant that Meatpacking club-goers or a big group of girls are looking for: comfort-style tapas with strong, crafty cocktails. The fancy, black, shiny booths, gold square tiled ceilings and brass light fixtures make you feel like royalty. The decorations are gorgeous, and the booths are intimate. The bespoke cocktail menu option is a bag full of tricks – you can request for any ingredients to mix into your drink…pick blueberry. The sweet and sour popcorn shrimp is addicting. The cauliflower gratin is brilliant, makes your heart skip a beat and could knock you out it’s so unbelievable. Go ahead and get two if you have a big group and definitely skip the creamy steak tartare. I’m excited for the future of The Vinatta Project, think the DJ in the corner is hilarious (and useful) and surprisingly pleased with the kitchen -especially for a place that is repeatedly commended for its drinks. Skip on over here for some small plates before dancing the night away or raise a glass and cheers your friends with these specialty cocktails!
